Attorney Fees in Bankruptcy

If you have filed an adversary proceeding or are facing one in your bankruptcy, one of the important issues you need to think about is how you can pay for your attorney.  When asking for attorney fees in an adversary action, you must make sure that your request complies with Federal Bankruptcy Rule 7008, requiring that attorney fees must be plead in the initial complaint or answer so that the other side has a chance to respond to the request before trial.  If you have filed for bankruptcy and are needing assistance, feel free to contact our office at 816-524-4949.
