Crime Doesn’t Pay……Not Even for Financial Advisors

A financial advisor in Edina, Minnesota pled guilty to taking $220,000 from an elderly client who suffered a stroke.  For pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 41 months in prison because it was alleged that the financial advisor stole money from the elderly client, including using their Social Security Number to take money from the client’s annuity.
