Embezzled cash, Missing Taxes and Two Years Jail Time

Recently a Kansas City woman, Tammera Goodman, was sentences to two years in a federal prison for failing to pay taxes on stolen money.

She embezzled nearly $465,000 from her family business while working as the office manager. She would use money to pay her credit cards and bills. The company which handles water and fire damage restoration jobs did not prosecute her and even allowed her to continue to work there.

The 56 year old pleaded guilty in October for her failure to report this money on tax returns. She was also ordered to pay $145,000 in restitution to the IRS and the state of Missouri.
