Sephora stated recently that they would not reopen their\ndoors after the pandemic and that they would stop restocking in store products.&nbsp; Sephora\u2019s products have been the major source\nof income for the department store. With this threat in place, JCPenney had to\npursue a restraining order on April 27<sup>th <\/sup>to prevent Sephora from\nclosing its inside store locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lubbockonline.com\/storyimage\/TX\/20200519\/NEWS\/200518956\/AR\/0\/AR-200518956.jpg\" alt=\"See the source image\" width=\"274\" height=\"131\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>JCPenney did win this order and forced Sephora to reopen its doors with the department store. Sephora is countersuing the company in order to end their in-store contract in April of 2021. However, JCPenney may still be forced into bankruptcy.
