Plus its Owners"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A Florida based company, Timemark Inc., have come to a\nsettlement with The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Timemark, its owners\nand its officers are being accused of charging illegal advance fees to buyers\nwho are looking to renegotiate, settle, reduce, or alter the terms of their\nloans by CFPB. This is a violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hoorfarlaw.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Time-Mark-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5178\" width=\"171\" height=\"146\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A complaint from CFPB, that was filed in the federal\ndistrict court for the Southern District of Florida stated from 2016- through\nOctober 2019, Timemark was essentially using sales campaigns to recruit 7300\ncustomers to pay over $600 in fees to file paperwork to get their monthly\npayments for their federal student loans, loan consolidation, forgiveness, or\nincome based repayment plans, condensed or removed. However, through The US\nDepartment of Education, those debt-relief services are free to student loan\nborrowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the violation of TSR accusations made by CFPB\nallege the company violated the rule because they requested and received\npayments from customers who accepted the offers from the campaigns.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you feel that you\nhave been a victim of fraud?
