Man Sentenced to Prison for Trump Tax Return

A Louisiana man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for attempting to obtain Trump’s tax returns by using Trump’s Social Security Number.  The man was a private investigator who was trying to access the tax information before the 2016 election.

Marie Lipowicz is an attorney at the Law Office of Camron Hoorfar, P.C.

Marie Lipowicz graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Law in December of 2005.

While in law school, Marie owned a title abstracting business performing chain of title research for large real estate companies in St. Louis, MO and surrounding cities. She also worked for the law school’s law clinic, handling divorce and custody cases, and corroborated with other law students in writing appellate briefs for Amnesty International. Marie Lipowicz also competed in mock trial at the law school level and since becoming an attorney has judged several mock trial competitions at the high school and college level.

Before attending law school, Marie Lipowicz graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and a minor in political science.

Marie Lipowicz is admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Missouri Foreclosure Notice

Missouri law states that after a borrower has been in default for ten days for failing to make a required payment and has not surrendered possession of the collateral, the lender may give the borrower and all co-signers a notice.  However, the lender cannot foreclose on the property or accelerate the loan unless the notice has been given pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute 408.554.

2018 Tax Change for Alimony

The Trump tax bill, known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, enacts some tax law changes for the 2018 tax year.  Those changes include changes to alimony.  Alimony is no longer deductible by the person paying the alimony and is now tax free for the recipient of the alimony.

Changes to Employee Benefits

Under the Trump tax plan, employees can no longer deduct unreimbursed employee expenses.  In addition, moving expenses that are reimbursed are now taxable.

DUI Probable Cause

Tax Deductions Go Away

Under the Trump tax plan, taxpayers will no longer be able to deduct the interest paid on home equity loans and will only be able to deduct mortgage interest paid on debt up to $750,000.  In addition, taxpayers will no longer be able to deduct moving expenses.

Dallas’s role in the office is to serve as the initial point of contact for clients, handle client intake and processing, process client documents, close files, process payments, manage the office calendar, communicate with clients, coordinate client and attorney meetings, file organization, and other administrative tasks.

Dallas grew up in Lee’s Summit, Missouri where she graduated from Lee’s Summit North in 2012. She recently graduated with her Associates of Science in Paralegal Studies.

Toys R’ Us Files for Bankruptcy and will be Closing All U.S. Stores

Toys R’ Us has filed for bankruptcy and has announced that it will be closing all of its stores in the United States.  Before filing for bankruptcy, Toys R’ Us obtained a $3.1 billion loan in order to try and save their business, but unfortunately it was not enough to keep them alive.
