Scandal at the Waffle House

Two Georgia lawyers, David Cohen and John Butters, were recently charged with conspiracy to commit extortion, conspiracy to commit illegal eavesdropping and surveillance, and unlawful eavesdropping or surveillance after using a secret sex tape from their client to extort money from the CEO of the Waffle House, Joe Rogers. The CEO’s former housekeeper used the sex tape to obtain a $12 million settlement in order to keep the scandal out of the public eye. After countering for a mere $100,000, Rogers sued housekeeper, and her lawyers, for invasion of privacy and unjust enrichment. Rogers claims the sexual encounters were consensual and the unauthorized tape was merely being used for “sextortion.” If you are in legal trouble, contact our office at 816-524-4949 or check out our website at Hoorfarlaw.com.
