The U.S. Supreme Court recently overturned a $2.7 million discovery sanction against Goodyear Tire and their attorneys for hiding tests on certain tires. The Supreme Court stated that the discovery sanction can only be up to the amount of damages incurred by the discovery misconduct. Ultimately, the court reduced the damages to $700,000.
